Hansa

Built by Caird & Company, Greenock, Scotland, 1861. 2992 gross tons; 328 (bp) feet long; 42 feet wide. Inverted engine, single screw.  Service speed 11 knots.  660 passengers ( 75 first class, 105 second class, 480 third class ).

Built for North German Lloyd, German flag, in 1861 and named Hansa. Bremen then London to New York and Boston service. Went missing on voyage from Antwerp to Montreal in 1883.
