West Eldara

Built by Skinner & Eddy Corp, Seattle, Washington, 1918. 5494 gross tons; 410 (bp) feet long; 54 feet wide. Steam turbine engine, single screw.  Service speed 11.5 knots.  

Built for U.S. Shipping Board, in 1918 and named West Eldara. Liverpool, France, Rotterdam, Havre to New York 1920 to 1924 service. Cargo ship, was taken over by US Navy briefly until 1919. Sold to Bull and Co., American flag, in 1936 and renamed Mae. Sunk by German submarine U.515 in 1942.
