Built by G. Forrester & Company, Liverpool, England, 1882. 2845 gross tons; 328 (bp) feet long; 40 feet wide. Compound engine, single screw.  Service speed 11 knots.  1018 passengers ( 18 first class, 1000 third class ).

Built for Fabre Line, French flag, in 1882 and named Alesia. Mediterranean-New York service. Sold to Wilh. Wilhelmsen Line, Norway flag, in 1899 and renamed Dunrae. Foundered off Elba Island. Scrapped in 1899.
