Built by A. & J. Inglis Limited, Glasgow, Scotland, 1883. 3,739 gross tons; 361 (bp) feet long; 40 feet wide. Compound engine, single screw.  Service speed 12 knots.  1,300 passengers (100 first class, 1,200 third class).Two decks plus spar deck.

Built for Hamburg-American Line, German flag, in 1883 and named Moravia. Hamburg-New York service. Wrecked on January 12, 1899.
