Do I Have to Register?
No. You can use parts of this site without registering. But to access passenger records during a Passenger
Search, view items in Your Ellis Island File, create a Family History Scrapbook, and join the Foundation
online, you must register.

What's the Difference between Registration and Membership?
Registration is free; it lets you use most parts of this site. Membership in the Foundation is $45 per year
and offers many other benefits. To join the Foundation, click "Foundation Membership" at the top of the main
menu.
But even if you're already a Foundation member, you'll have to register to use some areas of this site.

Click "Sign In" at the top of the main menu. You'll be taken through some simple steps for selecting a
user name and password.
