Cuban-born Emilio and Gloria Estefan receive the B.C. Forbes Peopling
of America Award from Assistant Secretary Thomas L. Strickland and
Robert Forbes. The award is sponsored by the Forbes Family in honor
of family patriarch B.C. “Bertie” Forbes, who immigrated to America
from Scotland in 1904.


Greeting one another on stage are honorees Jerry Seinfeld, Dr.
Eric R. Kandel, Gloria Estefan, Emilio Estefan, and Joe Namath.
