Plated in Copper Preserved from Statue’s Restoration
New York, NY (August 2006) – Celebrate the 120th anniversary of America’s most powerful symbol of freedom with Liberty's Crown 2006, a handsome replica of the Statue of Liberty’s crown specially created to commemorate her 1886 dedication. The fourth in a series of collectibles commissioned by The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc., this distinctive ornament is the only one on the market that is plated in the actual copper preserved from the centennial restoration of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.
Centered inside the 4 ½ inch x 3 ½ inch ornament is a 24-karat gold finished image of the Statue, with details highlighted in black on a copper plated base bearing the words “Celebrating the Statue’s 120th Year” and dated “2006.” Dangling from the base is a copper medallion bearing the Statue’s formal name “Liberty Enlightening the World” on the front and the Foundation logo on the back. The Crown and Statue are encircled by a 24-karat gold and copper finished frame.
Designed and created by artisans in the U.S.A., Liberty’s Crown 2006 is the perfect patriotic gift for any occasion and makes a beautiful addition to your holiday décor. It is presented in a gold windowed gift box inscribed with the words “Fourth Annual Limited Edition Statue of Liberty Collectible” and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
